Sustainability Across the Curriculum
KSU’s Sustainability Across the Curriculum is a two-day workshop that teaches faculty about sustainability initiatives on- and off-campus and helps them integrate sustainability topics into their curriculum through modules and stand-alone courses.
The workshop includes information sharing on local and global sustainability and campus tours highlighting KSU’s successes and areas in need of improvement. Faculty participants work in teams to develop outlines for the development of sustainability-themed courses or instructional units within existing courses. Faculty members with 10-month contracts receive a stipend for their participation.
KSU's Sustainability Director, Dr. RC Paul, has hosted this workshop six times since 2009 and has trained over 75 faculty members from 10 different colleges across both campuses
The 2017 training is scheduled for May 16-17, 2017. To learn more or register, contact Dr. RC Paul. Click here for a list Sustainability Across the Curriculum alumni and their associated sustainability courses.
